Diane Lotus has created, with the company L’Étendard lyrique, whose artistic direction she leads, “An Evening with Anna de Noailles, or the Poetic Ear,” a one-hour play in tribute to the poet.

Through humor, a narrative in prose, and moments of lyricism, the spectator is drawn into the poetic world of Anna de Noailles. The staging creates a sense of intimacy between the actress and the audience: volunteers join Madame de Noailles’ salon on stage.

“An Evening with Anna…” can be performed anywhere. The production was originally created in situ, in a venue not specifically designed for theatrical performances.
